Payment Methods
Last updated: August 3, 2026
This Payment Policy applies to purchases made from Funolo, operated by FUNOLO PTE. LTD., Business Registration No. 202344423N.
This policy explains the payment methods available through our store, how transactions are authorized, the currency used for purchases, and how payment-related issues are handled.
The payment methods displayed at checkout at the time of purchase determine which options are currently available. Availability may vary depending on the customer’s location, device, order amount, currency, and payment-provider requirements.
1. Accepted Payment Methods
Funolo currently accepts the following payment methods when displayed at checkout:
- Visa credit and debit cards;
- Mastercard credit and debit cards;
- American Express;
- Discover; and
- PayPal.
All orders must be paid in full through the online checkout before production or fulfillment can begin.
We may add, remove, restrict, or temporarily suspend a payment method for operational, technical, security, legal, or payment-provider reasons.
2. Credit and Debit Cards
Eligible credit and debit cards may be used directly through the secure checkout.
Before submitting payment, customers should verify:
- The cardholder name;
- The card number;
- The expiration date;
- The card security code;
- The billing address; and
- The order amount and currency.
The card will generally be authorized or charged when the order is submitted. Production begins after payment authorization and any required security verification are completed.
A card issuer may require additional verification, such as a one-time passcode, banking-app confirmation, or another authentication step.
3. PayPal
Customers may use PayPal when it is displayed as an available payment option at checkout.
After selecting PayPal, the customer may be redirected to PayPal’s secure payment environment to sign in, select a funding source, and authorize the transaction.
After authorization, the customer will normally be returned to the Funolo checkout or order-confirmation page.
Where PayPal makes guest checkout available, customers may be able to pay using an eligible credit or debit card without creating or signing in to a PayPal account.
Guest-checkout availability is determined by PayPal and may depend on the customer’s location, device, account status, transaction, and PayPal’s risk-review procedures.
PayPal transactions are governed by PayPal’s own terms, privacy notice, security requirements, and dispute procedures.
4. Payment Security and Privacy
Payment information is transmitted through encrypted connections and processed by third-party payment providers operating under applicable payment-security requirements, including relevant Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard requirements.
Funolo does not directly store complete payment-card numbers or card security codes on its own servers.
Depending on the transaction, Funolo may receive limited payment information, such as:
- The payment method;
- The card brand;
- The last four digits of a payment card;
- The billing address;
- The transaction identifier;
- The payment status; and
- Fraud or authorization results.
This information may be used to:
- Confirm and fulfill orders;
- Process refunds;
- Investigate payment problems;
- Prevent fraud and unauthorized transactions;
- Respond to chargebacks or payment disputes; and
- Comply with legal or regulatory obligations.
Security notice: Do not send your complete card number, card security code, PayPal password, online-banking password, or other sensitive payment credentials by email, contact form, or another unsecured communication channel.
Additional information about how Funolo handles personal information is available in our Privacy Policy.
5. Currency and Exchange Rates
All prices and transactions on the Funolo store are generally displayed and processed in United States dollars (USD), unless checkout expressly displays another currency.
If the customer’s card, PayPal account, or bank account uses another currency, the payment provider may convert the transaction from USD into the account currency.
The final amount charged may depend on:
- The exchange rate used by the bank or payment provider;
- The date and time the transaction is processed;
- Currency-conversion fees; and
- International or cross-border transaction fees.
Funolo does not control the exchange rate used by a bank, card issuer, or payment provider.
6. International Transaction Fees
FUNOLO PTE. LTD. is registered in Singapore and serves customers internationally.
A bank, card issuer, or payment provider may classify a purchase as an international or cross-border transaction, even when the order is placed through a local device or delivered within the customer’s country.
The customer’s payment provider may separately charge:
- An international transaction fee;
- A foreign-exchange fee;
- A currency-conversion fee; or
- Another cross-border processing charge.
These charges are determined and collected by the customer’s bank, card issuer, or payment provider. They are not imposed or received by Funolo.
A bank may also request confirmation that the customer authorized an international transaction. Customers should contact their financial institution if a payment is blocked or an unexpected bank fee appears.
7. Authorization and Declined Payments
An order is not confirmed until payment has been successfully authorized and Funolo has issued an order confirmation.
A payment may be declined, delayed, canceled, or placed under review for reasons including:
- The card number, expiration date, security code, or billing address is incorrect;
- The card has expired or has not been activated;
- The available balance or credit limit is insufficient;
- The payment method does not support online or international transactions;
- The card issuer has restricted or blocked the transaction;
- The payment provider requires additional verification;
- A fraud-prevention system has flagged the transaction;
- The account has been closed, frozen, or restricted; or
- A temporary banking, network, or checkout error has occurred.
For security reasons, Funolo may not receive the payment provider’s exact reason for declining a transaction.
If a payment is declined:
- Review the card and billing information entered at checkout.
- Contact the bank or payment provider and ask whether the transaction is being blocked.
- Complete any verification requested by the payment provider.
- Use another eligible payment method displayed at checkout.
Funolo may request reasonable information to confirm that a transaction was authorized by the customer or payment-account holder.
8. Duplicate Charges and Authorization Holds
Multiple Order Confirmations
If the customer receives separate order-confirmation emails with different order numbers, more than one order may have been submitted.
Contact support@funolo.us promptly and include each order number.
Cancellation period: A valid cancellation request submitted within 24 hours of ordering qualifies for a full refund, even if production has already started.
One Order Confirmation but Multiple Payment Entries
If the customer receives only one order confirmation but sees multiple payment entries, one entry may be a temporary authorization hold rather than an additional completed charge.
An authorization hold temporarily reserves funds while a payment provider or card issuer verifies the transaction.
The bank or payment provider controls when an unused authorization is released. The release may take several business days.
If multiple entries become completed charges, contact the financial institution and email Funolo with:
- The order number;
- The transaction date;
- The amount of each entry; and
- A screenshot showing the transactions with complete payment credentials removed.
9. Unsupported Payment Methods
Funolo does not currently accept Cash on Delivery (COD).
Unless expressly displayed at checkout, Funolo also does not accept offline or manual payment methods.
Do not mail cash, checks, payment cards, or other payment instruments to our registered business address.
A payment method is accepted only when it is displayed and successfully processed through the Funolo checkout.
10. Refunds
If a refund is approved, Funolo will process it to the original payment method within 3–5 business days.
After Funolo processes the refund:
- PayPal: Funds generally appear within 3–5 business days.
- Credit or debit card: The card issuer may take 10–15 business days to post the refund.
The time required for the funds to appear is controlled by the payment provider, bank, or card issuer and is separate from Funolo’s processing period.
If the original payment method is no longer available, Funolo may issue store credit or use another method agreed with the customer where operationally and legally permitted.
Currency-conversion differences, international transaction fees, and bank charges imposed by a third-party financial institution cannot normally be refunded by Funolo.
Refund eligibility and procedures are explained in our Return & Refund Policy.
